Answer:When I bought my lava me 2 I sent it to my best friend who done a professional set up. All my guitars are acoustic electric. If your spending good money on any acoustic guitar whatever the make it’s worth spending that little extra on a set up. On the lava me 2 it was well worth the money. Mine came back with a nice low action.Question:Hi, even though this is travel size, does it feel/play like a full size or like a 3/4 guitar? Just wondering where the size has been taken out. Thanks

This is a good guitar. The setup and sound were good straight off. The action is light. The finish and materials were first rate . Elixer Strings 12s, Tusq saddle and nut. The electronics are gimmicky but the guitar sounds very resonant even without using the internal speaker. Nut on mine was unglued but thats a simple fix with 2 small dots of CA glue. It wont fall off because the strings hold it on. Hard to find any negatives ... the strap pin was loose and the strap pins are not a good design. (you cant fit a strap and a strap lock with these). Everything else is pretty much spot on, And those gripes minor so well worth 5 stars.

Im a casual guitar player, the YouTube self-taught kind, haven't been playing for long but wanted to upgrade from the cheap beginner guitar that I outgrew. First impressions, the guitar is really well built and looks amazing in white. It is a little on the heavier side given it's suppose to be a travel guitar. The weight does give you some sense of reassurance as it feels premium whilst holding it. The sound of the guitar without the effects already makes it worth buying. The effects are definitely a huge bonus. Carrying case came with the guitar and I was pleasantly surprised how good the build quality of this case. Top marks for that. In terms of durability/reliability, I've had no issues after a month. If there's anything I'll be sure to update. All in all, really happy with the purchase.

I do a lot of outdoor guitar playing and every wood guitar I own has cracks. This guitar has great action and sounds great unplugged (as well as plugged in). Didn’t really need the fancy built-in electronics w/reverb & chorus. A pick-up and volume would’ve sufficed and been cheaper and lighter - it’s heavier than it should be. Depending on the weather and the strings, I have to check the intonation between songs. The gigbag is a bit much, too. Don’t like the handle or the stiff shoulder strap, or the lack of space inside for spare strings, a tuner or a capo. It’s too fitted. But I’m 90% happy with the guitar, the feel and the sound.

Delivery was really quick and the communication was great, the packaging is great too as you get lots of bits thrown in like a pick set and usb charging cable for the on board preamp so it's like buying a new iPhone when it comes! The effects work great and it's got a good tone for a travel sized guitar too! The delay, reverb and chorus do make a difference so I'm really impressed! It's bright but without losing the bottom end, which I was worried about and as a former touring guitarist, the sound was important to me. For this reason I've also spent ages playing around with the effects trying to get as many variations of sound as possible (i'm one of those!) and I'm loving how versatile it is! It's well made too which is great, very lightweight and easy to play so I'm confident I could take it on holiday with me if needed. Really happy with this guitar! I'd certainly class it as good value as you'd pay the same or more for something with far less to offer from another brand.

It is clear that Lava are trying to revolutionise the guitar industry. Other carbon fibre guitars are still using traditional wood guitar methods to make carbon guitars, but Lava have started from scratch and can make their carbon guitars in one piece, adding new technologies to enhance volume and sound quality. Virtually all the uTube reviews express surprise about the quality of the Lava me2, both in terms of build quality but also sound quality. I am a relatively new player yet find the me2 a brilliant guitar. It is easy to carry about in the close-fitting bag and the action is low - at 2mm on 12th fret. The additional acoustic effect add a new dimension to my playing without having to plug in. I believe Lava have re-set the bar for the manufacture of guitars and as word spreads the popularity of these guitars will increase quickly. The me2 is robust and lightweight, plays beautifully and the built in effect are brilliant. I’m so excited to play this beautiful instrument.
