Customer questions & answers
Question:Can you install a web cam to tv
Answer:Plugged video camera into USB port and done, tv recognized it immediately
Question:What is the size of the internal Memory?
Answer:It’s actual internal storage is 16GB, but only leaves 11.34GB available (after formatting and firetv OS).
Question:Does it mount to a wall?
Answer:Sure, but you need to buy the mounting bracket.
Question:Even though this is voice remote, can a traditional remote be used as well? Does the TV come with a remote?
Answer:Info states pairing fire tv remotes is possible, the remote that comes in packaging has more features and is same size as traditional fire tv remotes. I prefer the one that comes with the tv as there is less setup required
Question:I need to stand the 75" tv on a shelf. how deep does the shelf need to be? in other words, how far apart are the foot pads on each leg? thanks.
Answer:Fire TV Omni 75” Footprint is 13.7 “ deep X 52” wide
Fire TV Omni 65” Footprint is 14” Deep X 44.1”wide
Question:We just received the 55" tv and the measure is 48.6 if anyone can explain please. i read longtime ago the reason but not remember exactly.
Answer:The size rating for a TV has always been based on the DIAGONAL dimension of the actual TV screen (and a 55 inch "class" TV will not measure exactly 55 inches).
Question:How far apart are the feet? In other words, how wide does the floor stand Need to be?
Answer:the feet are roughly 50 inches apart on the 65 inch tv not sure on the other sizes since I don't have them but if you have something roughly 5 feet long to stand it on it should be fine.
Question:sound bar support ?
Answer:It has a very convenient digital optical toslink or 1 of the HDMIs' is eARC (2.1) if your sound bar is so equipped. 3.5 mm analog output for vintage equipment or even bluetooth to adapter for old school amp/receivers.
(Watching Grey’s Anatomy) :) Love the TV size and quality, I have Alexa all over the house and I enjoy the ease of using Alexa. I put on lights behind it and voila.. perfect. As of right now (sept 2022) I totally recommend!
As you can see in the picture, we have no blinds/shades installed on our windows, with a 100+ degree day of Texas sunshine blasting through the windows ready to give you an indoor sunburn. Let me tell you, I was skeptical that the tv would have a good visible picture in such room conditions. Well, .......it absolutely did. I was even able to turn the backlight DOWN to 35 on the panel to get deeper blacks. Impressive. Turned on Netflix and a Dolby Vision nature show to test that out. By default it was set to the Dolby Vision Bright setting, so I changed it to the Dolby Vision Dark setting just to see, and that also made a huge difference and gave an even better image quality. Set color saturation to 65 also and it is such a good quality image.
Love everything about this TV especially for the price. Except the amount of data it is using. Do to available internet providers in my area, I’m using a Verizon Mifi hotspot in 4G. In 3 days I have used 60Gb. That is going by what the TV is telling and my account. You can set up a reminder to tell you when you have hit a certain number which can be helpful. To give a reference on the amount used in 3 days and what I have been using. Had been staying right under 150Gb for 30 day billing cycle. Which is my limit using a 10 year old tv and a PS4 for streaming. Within 3 days I’ve used 60Gb with the download quality on its lowest setting to save data use. Those 3 just happened to be the weekend, but don’t think I have streamed anymore than usual for a weekend. If you don’t have a cap on your data usage this TV’s streaming features will be great. If you have a cap this would be a good thing to keep in mind. I will update on the speed and picture quality after I hit my cap and have slower speeds. May go back to using my PS4 for streaming to keep from using up my data.
This TV is perfect for me, I can control pretty much everything with my voice.
The pictures is very clear, colors are amazing, sound is ok, although I always use a sound bar for movies and action shows. The WiFi reception is fantastic, and I like the added benefit of watching local HDTV by antenna, plus there is a guide for it too. Somehow you can see a live tv guide, just made this my favorite TV. If you ever had a Fire Tv unit, the remote is similar and friendly to use. All in all, a good choice for daily use. It can be mounted on the wall and has a thinner profile than my last TV.
I love my new TV, it seems so big, I’m used to a 40 inch and this seems almost too big for my eyeballs. The picture is nice and bright, it seems to understand most of the voice commands even sometimes when I’m not even talking to her. She’s pretty sensitive you can’t say the “A” word anywhere near her. The only con I have is that sometimes when I switch the input to HDMI one, which is my cable, sometimes I just get a black screen. Most days it’s fine, some days nothing. I have no idea if it’s anything to do with the TV or my cable company but I’m not going to be having my cable company for long so I’m not particularly worried about it.
The pictures I took, to me it’s great quality, too cool. Plus, I added Govee immerse lights, really too cool.
