Question:Does it come with the mattresses or is it just the frame?

Question:Can the bottom bed be left off if we want to leave it as open space?
Answer:You need to assemble the bottom part of the frame, but if you wanted a loft bed I suppose you would just not put the slats on the bottom.
Question:Please advise whether there is a ladder ?
Answer:There are stairs to climb up to the top bunk and a slide to come down if they choose to.
Question:Can the steps go on either side?
Answer:The slide of this set of bunk beds can be installed on either side of the bed!
The position of the stairs is fixed because it must match the entrance of the upper bed guardrail!
Question:Can someone 5'7 fit on the bed ?
Answer:Yes, my husband is 5'11" and can lay down on the top and bottom bunk with no issues.

The set is made with standard (yet quality) wood materials, and the paint seems to be fairly good - no chips or uneven paint spots. It seems to be quite sturdy. I have 3 year old twins and they are pretty rough with furniture. Once they saw it put together they kept running up the stairs to go down the slide. I will say, the slide is a bit steeper than I would like, hence why we put the play mat underneath. The extra cushion is helpful when they slide to the bottom, seems to make the floor landing softer. I do want to note - this was a tedious assembly job. My husband did it in 5 hours with some breaks in between. I helped with the slide - that was the easy part, lol. The directions are helpful, but there are some steps that may be confusing. Make sure you save the images from the product description to help along the way. 😊 I highly recommend this set!!!

Granddaughter loves it, feels confident in using the ladder as the whole bed is sturdy. She has enough room for chest of drawers beneath and the hamster is happy too. Desk is handy for homework, great addition. Daughter said it was easy to assemble and would recommend.

This is a great bed at a great price! I bought the white one and it looks really nice. The instructions are clear and easy to follow if you are used to flat packed furniture. It is better to have two people when putting it together. To make it more secure, we put in heavy duty corner bed brackets on each corner of the bed. We also used two of the same brackets on the rear corners of the bottom horizontal rail. Then we attached the bed to the wall with simple corner brackets on the top and bottom of each of the three posts next to the wall. The bed is now rock solid, does not move or creak and is strong enough for an adult. I wasn't happy with the slats provided (15 slats, 60mm wide and 13mm thick), as I felt they were too thin and too few for an adult . We put in some better quality slats, so it's much stronger and the gaps are narrow so it's better for the mattress (16 slats, 70mm wide and 19mm thick). The slats are 90cm long. The bed is such good value that it's definitely worth paying another £30 or so for better slats. This bed is great for modern houses with low ceilings. Although an adult couldn't stand up underneath the bed, there is plenty of room to sit at the desk, which is really big, and you don't feel too close to the ceiling when in bed. As an adult, you can sit up in bed without banging your head if you slouch a bit. I would 100% recommend this bed!

Brought this bed for my sons bedroom - so easy to put together with easy to understand instructions. The bed looks fantastic and the desk is a good size.
