Question: Is the tabletop waterproof and scratch proof?
Answer: It seems to be waterproof and not leave spots, but like any table with a painted/stained wood, I'm sure it will scratch. BUT WE LOVE THE TABLEQuestion: I know the white is distressed, but is the white a true white or off white?
Answer: It’s an off white. Not a bright white. Guess I would call it ivory.Question: What is the width of the seat?
Answer: 17 3/4” at it’s widest point.Question: Does the top of the table have grooves in it? My son does his homework on the table and any indentations make it difficult to write
Answer: There are no grooves on the top of the table. It's a smooth surface. It is a really well-made table. I love it. -

love the colors - white/black together. Chairs/table are sturdy. Chairs were pretty hard but I knew that buying them. Just got some cushions to cover them and they work fine. Lovely set. Happy with them.

So beautiful! I couldn’t stop running my hands across the top. The grain and the stain is stunning. The distressing on the legs and chairs is just enough. It came very well packaged. I was surprised by how well. All the tools were included except a Phillips head screwdriver for the chairs. It wasn’t hard to put together, just time consuming. I still haven’t put the last 2 chairs together. Overall, it was a great buy.
