For maintenance details:
1. However you must clean up accumulated snow and fallen leaves, to ensure water draining system or louver driving mechanism well working.
2. Referring to notice 2, max pressure on louvers is 2.45kpa, or 250 kgf/m².
3. Louvers must be set to full-open during gale, torrential rain, heavy snow.

Question: Does the pergola need to be applied a clear coat of paint to protect the paint coating and maybe rust?
Answer: No - it’s painted with a very good powder-coat and I think almost all of the 33 big pieces might be aluminum.Question: Is it black or charcoal grey?
Answer: It’s more of an anthracite colorQuestion: Can you put a fire-pit table underneath it?
Answer: Yes, I’ve used a gas firepit table many times after researching the same issue and ensuring that the space/height between the firepit tabletop and louvers was sufficient. -

I haven’t completed the structure yet. I’m applying a wood preservative to all the pieces first. Has anyone done anything with the roof to help it last through weather, tree sap & birds? I know it has a coating, maybe just a paste wax?

My brother and I knocked it out in about 4 hours... super easy assembly... definitely, requires 2 people and a little experience in assembling stuff... I was going to build one but, the cost of materials, staining, roof panels, etc.... The cost of materials might have exceeded this one... It looks fantastic and worth the extra cost...

I do everything myself, however the roof was to big to slide on, had a friend help! Other than that...all holes lined up,not 1 issue! Looks great!

It is sturdy, and for the money, very much worth its value! Looks very nice! The stain is darker than I’d anticipated, so look closely before ordering. I thought it would match our outside stain perfectly, but it is much darker. Still, I love it!

So many pieces but very well organized. The drill bit didn't reach in the angle to tighten it. I had to go out and purchase a longer one. I absolutely love this addition to our yard.

This shipped super quick, and I received it within days - amazing! My husband said assembly looks easy enough, and as soon as the rain passes through, we're having our first family grill night of the year. I can't wait for this beauty to be set up in my yard!

Well packaged, good hardware, good instructions/pictures and straight forward assembly. Took two of us three days for assembly. That included weather sealing the wood and raising the unit 8" with concrete piers which made for a nicer fit against our sliding patio door. The material is a soft light wood, likely an asian cedar. When properly treated and assembled per instructions product should prove durable. Am very impressed and would certainly recommend. As with any 'kit' you need to read carefully and proceed with care as the wood is 'soft' and could split or abrade.

I put this together by myself. The directions were easy to read. Just one little problem with the roof rafters. I placed the middle one in the wrong place and didn't see it until it was too late. The directions didn't say anything about the placement. I double checked and only found a picture showing the holes but not stated anything. No big problem. Just needed to drill two holes and done. The only thing I needed help with was picking the roof up onto the legs. After that it was all done. I would highly recommend this product.

My husband and I made a project out of putting it together on a Saturday. It took most of the day, with breaks. I wouldn't recommend doing it by yourself. The directions were well written and easy to understand. Our grill is a normal sized Weber so it's plenty big enough. It's screwed into the deck but it's very heavy and well put together. I don't think it's going anywhere.
