Question:Does the non-burner side shelf fold? If so, what is the overall width of the grill with that shelf folded?

Answer:The shelf on the right side of the unit does fold down. The burner on the left side does not.

Question:I have a 44" opening to insert the grill into, can i remove the right side table making the unit narrow enough?

Answer:Yes, you can choose not to install that side shelf

Question:Is this pre-assembled (despite the 11min assembly tutorial video)?

Answer:Mine wasn't with normal tools and some average tool skill it was relatively easy

Question:will this thing float if my kid rolls it into the pool?

Answer:It is is heavy gauge stainless steel so no it will not float.
