    Question:What is the distance/height from the lower rack and the upper heating element?

    Answer:The height from the wire rack to the top heating elements is approximately 3 inches.

    Question:Can it hold a quarter sheet pan?

    Answer:The Oven includes a 13" x 13" sheet pan. The height of the interior of this machine is approximately 3".

    Question:In the bake mode does this act like a conventional oven (no air, just heat) or is it like a convection oven?

    Answer:It baked just like a conventional oven.

    Question:What is the sear plate made of and is there a non stick coating on it?

    Answer:The sear plate is made of a heavy cast steel pan that does have a non stick coating and the stainless side runners to slide it into the Ninja rack guides.

    Question:What is the height of this oven when flipped and not in use? It says 15 inches depth but what about the flip stand? does that add additional height?

    Answer:The flipped height, counter to highest point, is 15 1/4”. as for depth, you’ll need 19 1/2” deep counter since it needs empty space behind it to flip up. The protruding Start/Stop button also turns on the device so for safety reasons you want some additional space than the numbers above.

    This Ninja SP301 Foodi Dual Heat Air Fry Oven offers the new dual heat technology and has thirteen functions. It is shorter than many air fryers but takes up more counter space. It seems to take a bit longer than most air fryers but, at the same time, cooks more food at once. When not in use, it can be angled upward on a hinge which saves horizontal countertop space. The results I got with fries was quite good even though it took a bit longer than I am used to. It is well made and is easy to clean if you maintain it so layers of cooked grease don't accumulate. The heat up of the sear pan is extremely fast. Once heated it easily maintains its heat. It is not a particularly quiet air fryer. It seems to be well made and of good quality.

    There is nothing to dislike about this! I love it. I’ve used it every day since it arrived. I’ve even baked cookies with it! Folds up against the backsplash beautifully. I highly recommend this product.

    Wow! This one appliance has been a game changer for me in the kitchen. First off, this is not a small kitchen appliance but I like the option to have it stand up on the counter when not in use (see photo). My next favorite feature is how quickly it does everything, I used to have wait 15 minutes for my oven to preheat and now my Ninja Foodi dual heat oven is almost instantly preheated. The two functions I use most are air fry and bake, but this appliance can also air roast, broil, toast, reheat, and dehydrate. Operation is a breeze, very user friendly. It comes with a very helpful owner's guide. Most grocery frozen items now have instructions for air frying so that has been very helpful. I just follow the heating instructions on the food I am preparing and everything has come out perfectly so far. You'll want to own a nice pair of metal tongs to use with this appliance. It does get hot and remain hot for a while after food is finished cooking, so placement in the kitchen is important. A bonus is the included Quick Start and Inspiration Guide which contains yummy veggie, appetizer, dessert, and dinner recipes. I am so happy with the Ninja Foodi Dual Heat Air Fry Oven I just wish I had gotten it sooner! Five stars!

    Love the different functions and how it pivots up out of the way. The air-fry function is so convenient and easy to use. I have been cooking a lot more because of how easy it is. It toasts perfectly! Waffles, toast, bagels, etc… it toasts everything very well. Can’t wait to try the sear plate for steaks!

    I've got a tiny kitchen in my townhome, and this has been the perfect fryer that I've been able to use without taking up a ton of space! The sear plate is perfect for getting a good sear on food all while cooking quickly (see picture of boneless pork chops). I've been able to cook a 12" pizza in 9 minutes (where instructions state 14-16 minutes), and everything else I've done has been a breeze.

    I absolutely love this air fryer oven. We have used this for about a year and it still looks and works as good as the day we got it. My gluten free pizzas come out with a browned and crunchy crust using the sear plate. The oven heats up very fast and cooks everything in about half the time of a standard oven. Our regular oven hasn't even been turned on in almost a year. Major time and energy saver.
