If you’re frustrated with your home Wi-Fi speed and connectivity, this Mesh Wi-Fi is worthy of a look. Our house includes a finished basement, with TVs (and often phones) on each floor that require a strong Wi-fi signal. I was sick of low quality streaming video, and phones that simply wouldn’t connect, despite paying a high premium for high speed internet and our ISP’s provided wireless router. I didn’t know the difference between Mesh Wi-Fi and signal extenders, so I got the cheaper option. I bought two signal extenders for around 50 bucks yeah, put one on each floor and set them up. Frustratingly, they all had unique SSIDs (Wi-Fi network names) and our phones, tablets, and notebooks would constantly try to switch between the names. Worse so, I’d think I’d be on Wi-Fi with my phone, only to find that I’d be streaming from my phone’s data package. Even with the three Wi-Fi units, out connections were still lousy. This mesh system solves all of those issues. After set up and install (briefly outlined below), I’ve had absolutely 100% coverage in every nook and every story of our house, and a surprisingly large part of our yard. The speeds are noticeably improved; I didn’t know what I was missing! The setup was an honest breeze. It took longer to unpack than it did to install. Annoying to get ANOTHER username, another password, another app, but that is the norm with such tech products. **Make sure you use your current SSID and password, so you won’t need to re-program any of your existing connected devices. ** Speaking of the App, it’s much more feature packed than I expected. Turning on and off, or even timing, access to each device has been a great feature in a house with kids! It works just as advertised, and has bathed every inch of our home in glorious high-speed Wi-fi. Yes, I did stream 3 different 4k movies on 4 different TVs and load a YouTube video on my phone and PC and No, there wasn’t a hint of stutter. I’m ecstatic. The only cons are 1) i
vvv******dfVerizon and Frontier customer I always used their Motorola router. The throughput was always unstable and I had to use repeaters. I used also an Almond router as an AP to control all my peanut plugs. Really it was a mess because I have more than 60 devices connected. So I checked online for a solution I was hesitating between the Asus and Orbi. I made the good choice and now I can enjoy my 500/500 fios fiber connection. I have a satellite and my house (2200 sqf) is totally covered. This investment is costly for sure but I don’t regret it. And the installation is a plus with the Orbi App.

kkk******fgjEasy setup! Great App! Strong Signal! Works great throughout my home!
bbb******hfhThis was a painless installation and all connections were made without any problems. These cover a larger area than older networking equipment routers and wireless devices and are suitable for a two-story setup. These devices are big, so you might want to hide. Behind the TV. I used to have two routers, one on top, one on the bottom, and then the garage booster. When I walk from floor to floor, I have to switch the wifi network. Now not everything is a network, so it's seamless. No more need for a booster for my garage or this setup covers it all. Good setup, highly recommended purchase
hj*****jgjLet me say right up front that I've never paid this much for a home networking solution - ever. After working from home consistently for almost two months, however, I noticed my previous mesh network wasn't always working as it should, with dropouts and freezes happening pretty regularly. I began researching for potential replacements, and the Netgear Orbi AX6000 kept rising to the top of my shopping list, with excellent reviews for performance. There were just two problems - it was rarely in stock anywhere, which meant that a lot of other people working at home consistently for the first time were finding their networks inadequate as well. The second problem was the price - the two-piece network is expensive enough, and the three-piece is breathtakingly expensive. The lack of supply due to overwhelming demand validated the reviews I was reading and made me take the leap the moment it was in stock again. I haven't been disappointed. The performance is so good that I simply don't notice it. Interestingly enough, the Internet speed measurements in the Orbi app show me meeting or exceeding the top-end speed of my Internet service. I don't understand this because the Orbi router is connected to the same cable modem as my previous router, which usually only achieved speeds of around 175-190 Mbps on average, with occasional peaks to around 250 Mbps, compared to 300+ Mbps with the Orbi. It's not a complaint, but I expected the Orbi to improve my wireless speed and connectivity in the home; I wasn't expecting it to improve my Internet speeds as well. The bottom line? It's as good as all the reviews say it is. If it's in stock, get it - if you have the cash!
ghg*******zsdfPro- works much better than I thought, very intelligent system; it actually monitors itself and works automatically. Great firewall and great anti-virus protection comes with it. Very easy to use app which I can use from anywhere to connect and monitor how my system is working. Con- very expensive. I recently had to upgrade the velocity of my router because of my job in my wife's job. I have a NET gear nighthawk which could not handle the velocities of 1 GB per second that I now have. After experimenting with range extenders and other Wi-Fi systems and not being Able to make any of them work satisfactorily. I started reading about this next generation NET gear and I decided to take a chance on it. Downloading the app to my android phone was easy. Set up was a little bit clunking but in the end, I just let the system handle this by themselves and the system did its own installation and connection to the satellite signal extenders. As you can see in the first picture of velocities are very fast. As you can see in the middle picture, it can connect in daisy chain. The speeds now are almost 5 times what I used to have. I can finally connect my outdoor TV to the Wi-Fi system which I could never do with any of the other extenders. I do have a guest house behind the main house which never received Wi-Fi service and as you can see in the third picture there is no degradation literally in signal strength from the main house to the satellite in the guest house. This system already has gone through a couple of thunderstorms and power outages and has rebooted and reconnected with the satellites without any problems. I am Extremely pleased with it.
