Love this camera, pictures and video are awesome

The photo quality of this camera is amazing, I just received it yesterday, I had high expectations regarding the image quality!!! Even in low light it takes very good pictures underwater. It has a lot of features.... I am really happy!!!!

I was looking for a great underwater camera for an upcoming manatee snorkel trip...was tired of how clunky the GoPro Hero was to operate. This camera was a breeze to operate under water! The controls are easy to use, my pictures and video were amazing, both in and out of the water. I put the camera around my neck for kayaking trips and never worried about getting it wet. When I got home, the pictures transferred easily through blue tooth to my phone for sharing on social media.

So easy to use, and the various Scene settings made changing from microscope close-ups to underwater just turning the dial. Can't recommend highly enough

I used this camera on a 12-day backpacking trip and 4 additional days of travel. I purchased 4 additional Kastar batteries to keep me powered while on the trail. The total of 5 batteries kept me shooting pictures and video the entire trip. I kept the camera at a ready in my pocket the entire time. It was quick to turn on and turn off when I was done. I was able to catch all the shots that I wanted to take even with the camera off. The picture quality was fantastic and the Auto mode automatically adapted to almost every picture environment I tried it in. The Microscope feature is the most fantastic! The best feature I did not realize it had was the GPS functionality while the camera was not in use. By clicking the INFO button I was presented with a digital compass, lat/long, altitude, barometric pressure, and temperature. With my camera set to use GPS in battery saver mode, my attitude was always off by 200 - 600 feet but after spending time at a set altitude it was within 100ft accuracy.

This camera is awesome for surfin water shots. I was a little nervous the first day out in the surf, but that feelin vanished quickly. Such a solid, rugged vibe took over me, and it was ON. I bodysurf a lot and shoot pics in between my waves. I hold the camera in my right palm while diggin in HARD as I take off swimmin. This thing is bulletproof, y'all. I do recommend you grab a floaty strap to wear with the supplied one. I wear em both. Just in case it gets real and it comes loose from me. If you just sit still and shoot pics you might not need it, but who does THAT? Or if you get caught inside in the gnar, you're gonna thank me later. Lol I'm still learning all the settings. There's a LOT of em. (I use sports scene mode for high shutter speeds.) But this camera can charge some surf, y'all. I'm so stoked to have it out in the lineup. It was recommended by a surf photographer. He was SO right. You won't be sorry.

It does take really good photos. The photos that I posted are the camera only straight out of the box in diving mode. I chose the best photos. But you do need a waterproof case the thing the light and camera sit on and a flash or light.

I'm very new to photography, but was getting some good night shots so far. It's actually better than I thought it would be with those indoors shots under incandescent, fluorescent and LED lighting. I'll be using it for landscapes, nature and taking photos in cities and towns. The photo quality is excellent in my opinion and it works great without being to imposing or cluttered. It turns on in maybe two seconds, so I can stop the bike, be sure of a great picture and be moving again, making great time. Some days I get rained on really good and this camera is a perfect addition to my contingency gear. It should also do well in the colder conditions. It feels durable and I'm sure it will do well if I drop it or if it gets crushed around in my baggage on a tough day. I did buy the jj brand lens cap and a glass screen protector to keep from scratching those parts, but thats just extra and not totally necessary.
