Easy and safe to operate for first time quad riders. Max speed is 8 mph. So not fast enough to get into very much trouble. Great battery life.
J*** PI bought this for my 3 1/2 year old daughter two months ago. She loves it and drives like a pro already. My 8 year old son also loves driving it and gives my daughter rides on it often. I did have the brake issue described by others but that hasn't been a problem since I loosened it up - very simple fix. This quad does have a little higher center of gravity and a narrower wheelbase than some of the comparable plastic battery-operated vehicles you can buy, so the kids have rolled it on it's side a couple times when turning to sharp - but, that does make it more capable on rougher terrain. I had bought an old PW50 motorcycle for my son when he turned 4, but I think this is a much better vehicle for starting out. This will be a lot less maintenance and will get used a lot more. I'm 175 lbs. and I drive it a little when putting it away to charge so it appears to be built pretty solid.
Cas*******blinI'd have killed to get something like this when I was a kid. I bought this for my sons birthday, and I'm absolutely floored at how great it turned out. It shipped quicker than I could've imagined, and was simple assembly that took me about 10 minutes He absolutely loves it, and it goes a lot faster than I'd have assumed. It'll also carry me and not lose any speed (I'm 155lbs.). For little kids, they have to be careful when taking turns on concrete/asphalt, because it can tip (as can all ATV's), but in grass and dirt this thing flies with no issues. It worked great right out of the box, and my son will be able to ride this for years. The only thing I'll warn anyone interested about is that it is on the heavy side (about 105lbs), so be mindful if you need to lift it. I also wish it had reverse on it as well, but it said clearly in the item description that it didn't, so I'm not disappointed and neither is my son. He's not been hindered by it in the least bit, so that's good enough for me. I will say that, because it does go pretty fast, PLEASE have your kids wear a helmet when riding. Otherwise, it's an amazing price for a great machine. Thanks.
Jus******pyMy daughter turned 7 and got this for her birthday. It is SO FUN! She's 48inches tall/65lbs You have to know your child...mine is a little wreckless so with that said, you can hear me reprimand her. You can go a little slower by pulling back the handle (is that the right word?) But beware it'll make you jump if you go full throttle right away lol Pros: *Great size *Fun to go over thresholds/a couple steps *Feels really fast *easy use/access for battery charger *thick tires Cons: *Goes too fast too soon for a beginner (first couple rides) *No reverse when they get stuck My 10 year old loves it too, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
K***yWe have had this quad for 3 weeks and my 2.5 year old loves it. It is perfect for my 2.5 year old and 6 year old but too small for my 10 year old. We live on a farm and have plenty of space, lots of dirt terrain, and small hills that the quad does well on. The tires and body frame look are awesome. The battery life is as advertised between 30min to an hour depending on how many hills my 2.5 year old does and if he gives my 6 year old rides too. We did run into some battery problems on day 8 when the battery was plugged in but would not charge. We removed the charging station for the Razor electric scooter (also a good purchase but more for 6-10 year olds) to a separate outlet and let the quad charge for 2 days. Now it charges just fine and has its full power. As advertised it does not reverse so you would have to manually push it to back it out or if stuck. It only has one speed which is a good medium speed. My 2.5 feels so independent and can keep up with his siblings now. We purchased the FIT RIGHT Monster 36Volt for our 6 year and that thing is decently to powerful for our 2.5 year old. That one has 3 levels and key but even on level one it's too powerful for our 2.5 year old but perfect for our 6 year old. I wouldn't have my kids using the Razor quad without a helmet because it can tilt if making a sharp turn.
Du****myWe did not start our daughter of any power wheel type stuff, so when we decided it was time for her to learn, we wanted something that was powerful enough to get her through the dirt in the backyard and we quickly learned a gas powered 110 atv was going to be too much too fast for her. This dirt quad is the most perfect learning quad to get her ready for a 110. This is perfect for teaching her the concepts of the throttle and the brake and taking turn slow, its great! It took her a full weekend to get comfortable and I'm sure by summer she would be ready something bigger. So far, the battery does well. The first day of consistent riding she did have to take brakes to let it charge, but it was a brake for mommy and daddy too! My husband thought assembly was going to be several hours, he was ready with a full tool kit, and he was done in 30 mins! I don't see it as a negative, it's likely because it's battery powered, the quad has a pretty loud rattling sounds when it's ridden. Overall, this was a great purchase!
K***yMy 7 year old daughter loves this quad! It drives well and the battery lasts for a good 30-40 minutes of rough driving. She was even able to drive over some snow and ice for a bit of "off road" fun. It has a good speed and a lot of pep to it.
Ma*****ssThe quad arrives in a huge box so you have barely anything to put together. The only thing I had to do was put the handlebars on. My four and five-year-old had such a good time. Super easy to ride. I charge the battery once and we've already ridden two days. I've had real Honda 50 quads, This is as close as you'll get to the real thing.
D***dAssembly takes less than 10 minutes. Didn’t need to adjust the brake as the instructions mentioned. Fits beautifully in the back of my 5th gen 4Runner. My 5yo grabbed the concept of the throttle and soon required little to no instruction. Drove it continuously for about an hour with no noticeable drop in power. Took it to the desert and drove it off and on, and within about 3 hours we noticed the power drop. I’d say it easily lasted 2 hours of continuous usage. Very happy with the purchase. Would definitely recommend this to the 4-6 age group.
