Segway has made a good product with this one. It is not uncomfortably fast, and has 3 modes of operation. In the first mode, you have to be going at a certain speed before the thumb throttle becomes active. In mode 2, you just have to get going a little bit and the motor will keep you going without the need of the throttle. The third mode is like the first mode, but possibly a little bit fast. It uses solid tires, but the suspension is decent. There is a handle for engaging the disc brakes as well as a mechanical brake over the rear tire. Both are more than capable of bringing this scooter to a stop. There seems to be some built in protection to keep the scooter from "running away", in that the scooter will want to stop if the wheels are free spinning or become unloaded while the motor is running. Overall, this is an excellent electric scooter for a young child. It is lightweight, easy to transport, sturdy/durable, and has a kick stand. It charges fairly quickly and has a decent range on it. It is a good value. I recommend it.

We bought this for our granddaughter for Christmas. She turned 5 years old 2 months previous and the moment she got on the scooter she took off without a problem. It is very easy to use and safe for her age and does not go too fast but just enough. She absolutely loves it! We also bought one for our grandson who will be 4 in a couple of days and he can almost ride it. He will probably be able to in 3-6 months from now. I am so impressed with the quality of this scooter and it seems it will be very durable. Also love that it has a kickstand!

Segway built this kick scooter well. All the seams are welded together nicely and look great under the blue finish. I couldn’t find anything on this scooter that’s been skimped on or a lesser item is being used. It’s all a solid build and quality control has insured that the little girl or boy who gets these scooters can ride them as safely as can be made. Parents will scrutinize the scooter just the way I have before letting anyone ride it and will find it to be safe to ride. I let the little girl from down the street try it and just as the instructions said after pushing it forward a bit at speed the motor will kick in and for a girl or boy eight point seven miles a hour is really a fast pace yet not to fast as well, hard to explain that logic. The instructions were informative and easy to read and understand and the pictures helped me immediately with setup and preparing the scooter for operation. It took about three hours to fully charge up and the red light turns to green when full. It’s a quality scooter with a ton of fun built right into it. Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

The Segway Ninebot eKickScooter ZING E8 and E10 Electric Scooter was very nice and well made. The scooter arrived securely packed and it was incredibly easy to assemble. Just slide the handlebar and tighten two base hex screws with the provided allen wrench. My 8 years old absolutely loves this electric scooter. He has been enjoying a long ride out in the neighborhood during trick or treat. It can go long distances and up hills. The power button is on the bottom left with different modes as well. It maintained its top speed and charged very well. My kids ride on and off for hours. I've never seen one slow down or run out so far. The white lights tells you the paces of speed and setting on different modes. The electric scooter is lightweight and easy to fold. Best part is that the scooter has one-year or 180-day warranty for different parts.

I have been searching for a scooter for my kid when we came across the Segway Ninebot eKickScooter ZING E8 and thought it would be even more fun to get an electric scooter so decided to get it. The Segway E8 was perfect for his size. Out of the box, it is a very nicely built scooter with great components. It took a few hours to fully charged but it was good to go after that. Since my kid already knew how to ride a scooter, it was very easy to ride and he loved it right away. The instruction says that the scooter supports 110lb max but I feel like a smaller adult could easily ride it as well. When it comes to the battery life, it is pretty good. We did a 5 miles bike ride with him following us on the Segway and the battery lasted the entire time. Given that the scooter does not go over 10 mph, our bike ride was very relaxing. We actually like the fact that it does not go to fast and feel like it is much safer for him. Overall, we are all very pleased with the Segway E8 and will give it a solid 5 stars.

I absolutely love this scooter! For reference, I am about 92 lbs. This is the first scooter I’ve ever owned so personally I feel as this goes fast. It maxes out at about 9mph, but to a scooter newbie like me that feels super fast—I don’t know that I would want to go any faster to be honest. I have a ton of fun riding this up and down the street with my son. The breaks work well and this scooter hits the corners good. You just press a little button on the bottom and you are off! As for slopes, you can’t really go up big inclines, but it does handles small slopes okay. Make sure you read the listing well to see if this is going to be a good fit for you—if you are looking to go up huge inclines you may not want to chose this model. You get about an hour of run time and the charge is quick. Overall, this works really well for me. I find it super fun and I’m impressed. Would definitely recommend!

This is definitely one of the best quality kids electric scooter out there. Great build quality, battery life and fun. * Build Quality * Really good build quality on par with their adult electric scooter range. The color, blue is really nice (it looks a bit purply on the listing but it a nice shade of blue and very distinct) The wheels are solid rubber but have a bit of flexibility. the frame is made of aluminium which contributed to the light weight of the scooter. There are no front/rear lights. Handles are good quality and provide good grip for small hands. * Assembly * Takes about 5-10 min, including adjusting the height of the bar to fit your child. there is not a lot of adjacent and you would need the provided key to release two screws to do so. * Usage * If folded, press the rear brake (fender) to release and click the bar into place and you are ready to go. To fold open the flap on the bar and press with your foot and lock in place. Unlike the adult scooters you don't need a mobile phone to activate it. Just click the power button and go. You can also press the mode button which is located near the power to switch mode (turbo, cruise and safe). There are two very well made brakes, foot brake and a hand brake. Cruise mode is a new addition where your child does not need to constantly press the throttle and it will go faster if you kick faster (up to the max 8.7mph). I wish that mode with would be more conveniently located on the steering column. Overall another good electric scooter from Segway which is on it's on level from other brands kids scooters. Even my 4 years old was able to ride it on safe mode. Lot's of fun for the kids. Recommended!
